Clean & Clear Finishes Mattifying Moisturizer Review

This is my very first post and I figured I might as well start off with something that everyone could relate to: skincare! Since I can remember, I've been struggling with acne and oily skin. My skin goes through a period where it's in great condition then goes back to being acne prone. So for time now I've been in search of a good moisturizer. We all know how much moisturizers can run for. Last time I checked, Cetaphil, Aveeno and Olay can run for $8-$15. I don't know about you, but that's a little steep for me.

I recently visited my local Big Lots and discovered the Clean & Clear Finishes Mattifying Moisturizer! The moisturizer claims to be oil-free and to finish off with a matte finish.

According to the package, it's SPF 15 and contains a super-absorbing mineral + complex and controls shine all day. It attracts and captures the oil to prevent shine from showing up on the skin's surface.

Since I've used this moisturizer, I must say that it has controlled the oiliness that usually appears on my face. It's claim to have a matte finish is also true. Normally with other moisturizers I tend to have an oily glow even when it dries. I've also noticed that my foundation applies smoother and my face doesn't feel as dewy after application. The only downside of the product is the scent that it has. It emits a very floral and perfume-ish smell that I find to be a bit overwhelming. It also has a sunblock consistency and is a bit runnier that my previous moisturizers. Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

PROS
Price. I got this bad boy for $3 at Big Lots!
Matte Finish
Oil Control

CONS
Flowery Scent
Runny Consistency

Have any of you tried this moisturizer? If so, how did you like it?

Thanks for reading! Talk to you all next time!
